Etsy seller FAQ

Can I have my own store and still sell on Etsy?
Yes. CartBuild creates a separate store that runs alongside your Etsy shop. Your Etsy listings, reviews and settings stay exactly as they are. Your own store is simply one more place to sell, with its own link you can share anywhere.
How do my Etsy listings get into my store?
You share your Etsy shop, either by connecting it or by uploading the listings file Etsy lets you download. CartBuild brings in your titles, photos, descriptions and prices, then our AI lays them out as a branded store you can edit before you publish.
Does selling on my own store avoid Etsy fees?
Sales on your own store don't pay Etsy's listing, transaction, processing or Offsite Ads fees, because they don't happen on Etsy. Standard card processing (typically about 2.9% + 30¢) still applies, plus your CartBuild plan.
Where will customers for my store come from?
Mostly from people who already know you: Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest followers, market and craft-fair buyers, and repeat customers. Your own store gives all of them one link to buy from, and lets you email them about new drops. Keep Etsy for new discovery.
Will inventory sync between Etsy and my store?
Not at launch. Your listings are imported once, and you manage stock in each place. Automatic two-way sync is on our roadmap, and early members' answers decide how soon we build it.
Do I need any tech skills?
No. There's no code and no theme setup. You share your Etsy shop, review what the AI builds, and change anything by typing what you want, like “make the banner cream” or “add a holiday sale.”
What will CartBuild cost?
Joining the waitlist is free and commits you to nothing. Early members get founding-member pricing, which we'll share by email before launch.
Is CartBuild part of Etsy?
No. CartBuild is an independent company and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Etsy, Inc. We build tools for makers who sell on Etsy and want a store of their own too.
